WebTripp-lite UPS Beeping won't stop I bought SU1500RTXLCD2U recently and just got the chance to plug it in and test it out. It started beeping immediately and continuously while blinking a "fan fault / shutdown" error in the LCD. I didn't plug in any device to it and after a few minutes I disconnected the UPS power entirely. WebStep 1 Remove any of the electrical devices that you have currently plugged into the UPS. If the fans failed it likely flips to bypass because it can’t adequately cool the inverter, conditioner or batteries. I’m not sure why people are saying bypass means power failure.
